College Life

I guess you could say this is inspired by my excitement over starting college soon, but here are the characters of Frozen in a college setting. The idea stemmed from a drawing done of Hans (third one in) as a college professor. Then my sister and I started talking about it.

Anna is a student with a vivid imagination who writes in her journal about her dreamy (and young) college professor whom she's in love with. When her sister Elsa, studying at law school and known for being a cold lawyer, accidentally reads her journal she starts to become suspicious of this awkward and young, yet very good looking, college professor and his relationship with her sister. Let's just say she's not happy about it. And then there's Kristoff, the kind of loner kid in class who has an English assignment with Anna. She can't stand him but needs his help to pass the class. If only he wasn't so frustrating.

This sounds like a chick lit novel in the making. Or a fan fiction, except I don't write fan fiction. Oh well.

This is the last time I do a character line up. I swear. And I didn't shade on purpose.

Very simple print, but it was kind of fun. I originally wanted to go for a more sketchy quality but instead went for clean imperfect lines. It's not meant to be anatomically correct.

Autumn Satyr

I'm so ready for fall and fall colors. Can you tell?

60s Posh Girls

These are new prints I've been working on. I couldn't decide on one look and color so I did many different ones. They're all going to be available at my shop, and I'm quite fond of them. It was fun to play with the different color combinations. I think if I could buy one I'd buy the teal one.

Loki and His Scarf

Did anyone else notice Loki seems to have a thing for scarves? Not that I can blame him. They look good on him. Tried a different coloring style too. Not sure how I feel about it, but hey, it's done. Also his suit was originally a dark gray, but I kind of like the brown.

60s Asian Girl

A new print in the store of a 60s Asian girl. This was inspired by picture I saw of mod Japan that was just too awesome. Simple print, but I wouldn't mind having it as an iPhone case myself.

It Don't Mean A Thing

Captain America is one of my favorite superheroes, and I always like drawing him pre-Captain America. He was such a cute little awkward guy. And as it's stated in the film, he didn't know how to dance. So I like to imagine he sang swing songs to himself and envisioned being a great dancer.

Excuse me while I go cry in a corner.

Spidey Senses

I don't think I've ever drawn a fan art of Spiderman, which is funny since he's (ironically) my favorite super hero. But here's a small sketch.

Going Away

New print in the store. I was inspired by the idea of taking a vintage suitcase, pretty dresses, and running off to Paris. Sadly that's only possible in my dreams. For now, here's a cute print.

Peter quickie

Another (small) (and rather dull) quickie on Sai. This is Peter, the main character of my fantasy/comedy Tinked which can be read here on Wattpad. I've drawn out busts of each character in it (the major ones at least) and want to do them. But I just wanted to quickly draw a boy, and in simple colors without shading. So here it is.

New Tablet + Warm Up!

I finally got a new tablet! Which means new art. I'm already in love with it (and my fingers seriously hurt typing this). It's a great size (bigger than I anticipated) and has a great brush stroke. I'm already working on a commission or two and some prints. Happy day!

Here's a warm up sketch to get a feel for the tablet and also to prepare for a bigger project. I was lazy on the coloring.

Galaxy Girl

I've wanted to do a piece like this for so long and while trying to fix an old piece I went for it. I want to make this a series and do a bunch of girls like this. But for now this is what I have. It makes for some cool products in the shop.
I'm not satisfied with the background. But I'll figure it out.

By the way I wasn't kidding about it making cool products in the shop. You can find more at my society 6 shop.

Piece done of Delphine and Solange from Les Demoiselles de Rochefort. Took forever but I'm happy with it. I don't get to do these sort of pieces often.
