Hopper Eh Whatever

I remember finishing this and not being super crazy about it but rather feeling the way the character does in the piece. Just kind of 'eh whatever' about it.

This is Hopper Croakington the II, who basically owns my heart in Ever After High.

And, well, I never draw fan art so here you go.

Merry Christmas Hands

FINALLY!

This piece is centered on Christ and Mary. There will be another piece for Easter but it won't be shown until then. It's Mary's hand reaching down to touch baby Jesus's hand. And it features a hecka lot of symbolism.

Because I don't want to be online on Christmas and want to instead be with my family I won't bother with explaining the symbolism and work that went into this but it took several weeks.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Sibyl and Westley Christmas

Why would she need a break when there's nothing on the tree in the first place?

IS THAT A BACKGROUND? WHAT?

Second Ice Princess Christmas Piece! Two more pieces to go.

I wanted to wear that outfit for Christmas but couldn't afford it. So I put it on her. Dat flower crown though.

Merry Christmas from the Aislin Twins

One of my many holiday art pieces (two more to go!). Here are the Aislin twins matching in Ugly Christmas Sweaters. I like to think Reeve is 10000000% down for matching his twin sister whereas she's... Not.

We get it Josephine, you prefer to be fashion forward.

There will be one more with Sibyl and Westley if I don't shoot myself with so many pieces first.

I really like drawing the twins together. Josie's so short in comparison!

Stylization 01

I keep finding pieces I didn't post on here. Some have been posted on my tumblr but just not on here, and they're not even sketches (because that I understand). So about the title, I have this goal to try different styles and pieces to give my portfolio a more varied look (as of right now it's mostly just pieces for Ice Princess so a looot of red heads with butterflies) (ironically this piece is still for Ice Princess).

My goal was to do this once a week. I have a private board on Pinterest with different styled art pieces I have to mimic in my own way. It's not supposed to be exact, just to get me thinking outside my usual spectrum of ideas. Anyway, I can't do it once a week because I have too much going on, so I'm going to try a goal of three times a month instead. This was from a few months ago so I figured to start off right we'll share this. It was simple but really fun to do. I'd like to do more pieces like this actually.

Whoops

I forgot to share this forever ago. ANYWAY, here's a print from who knows when that is supposed to be for the winter season. I'll have to add it to my society6 one of these days.

I remember it took me forever to get this ready because I wanted it to have a transparent background with the sparkles in the back but couldn't figure out how to do it on Sai. And, well, I figured that out this year.

100 Old Blue

A little fun fact about me: Frank Sinatra is my all time favorite singer (Buddy Holly is a veeeery close second).

December 10th marks his 100th birthday, and since I'm not musically talented I decided to draw something to commemorate. Except I had too many ideas.

Another fun fact: the last song Frank Sinatra ever sang was The Best Is Yet To Come in 1994. So I felt that was a good song to use for this piece. It features texture found online (I need to figure out where I got them asap) and text from PicMonkey.

The second piece is a drawing of Frank from his debut performance in February 2 1940 (according to LIFE magazine). The first is a photograph taken of him by photographer Herman Leonard (it should be noted I draw off of that photograph).

Ahh Frank Sinatra, still the best thing to come out of New Jersey. My favorite Frank Sinatra song is Moonlight Serenade, which also serves as my favorite song period. (I do know the original was by the Glenn Miller band and listened to it quite often.)

So here's to Old Blue. I was too young to appreciate your beautiful voice and music when you were around, but you've inspired my soul.

Meet Me Under the Mistletoe

fyi this has a transparent background
Piece inspired by the song by the same name by Never Shout Never.

Honey Lemon Christmas

I said I had more! This is also from last year. I just really love Honey Lemon.

Merry Christmas Darling

1 of several Christmas cards (let's see how that goes...).

This was actually from a year ago but I never got to actually color it and such. The guy was inspired by a super dapper man I saw in Jersey. I was so baffled to see such a well dressed man I couldn't stop staring. And he had a fan-friggn-tastic tweed jacket. (And not that it matters but he WAS black. It's almost like stereotypes are crap. OH WAIT.)
