I don't want to think about how long this took to do. Another piece for my flower girls prints. I have to go back and change up the last one, but I'm quite fond of this one. Very cute and fun to do. Albeit a pain. But onward, on to the next one!

I came across the top picture on my Facebook memories and thought how strange it was that I drew that, and that I improved so much. So I decided to redraw this scrapped character for my warm up. It's just a quick warm up sketch, nothing big at all, but then again, neither was that top picture.
Yet the results speak volumes. The improvement is clear.
When I drew that picture back in 2012 I was digging myself out of a hole of self doubt with my art. I wasn't sure I was an artist anymore, much less what KIND or STYLE of artist I was. I just decided to keep drawing. And below, five years later, is what happened with that.
So if you're struggling to believe in yourself, to trust that you're going to get better, this is my proof that you WILL. Keep drawing. Keep trying. Keep learning. Soon you'll find you've improved tremendously. It's taken me years to not only get where I am but to find a style that's all mine. You will too.
Don't give up.

Let the wind eavesdrop, I don't care
For all that we've got, don't let it go
Just hold me
Eavesdrop - The Civil Wars
I've had this song stuck in my head for a while and though it fitting for Solavellan. Also I needed a break drawing from my detailed flower girl piece. When I have more time I'll do a real Solavellan piece where I take my time and such. This was more practice than anything.

First print for my new store! It isn't up YET because internet is evil but will be soon. I was actually inspired by a paper boat purse and how much I'm already missing Pennsylvania.
Took half an hour. Very simple but I'm very pleased with it. I tried using the pen texture style I did a while back with drawings of male celebs with my coloring. Also having a hard time adjusting to my new version of Sai.
But here's to a new start! I'm hoping to having a new one every week, but that's not a promise.

This might be the prettiest picture I've ever drawn. No, really.
I'm never going to top this. Also this is as close to suggestive as I ever get. I still struggle with drawing kissing scenes. Anyway, Peggy in the morning with a cup of tea and an interesting top. I don't recall that in her wardrobe...
I chose red, blue, and purple for the color scheme because blue is Sousa's emotional color, red is her emotional color, and purple is the two of them combined.
Also can people just pay me to draw Peggy all the time?

Joanie in jewel tones. I was trying out a different style to see how I feel about it. And I feel pretty good about it. Definitely would go about it a different way though. I was heavily inspired by Kevin Wada and Bob Peak.
I also went ahead and took down most if not all of the items in my stores. They're going to be revamped soon as I try to take my art in a whole new direction.

Oh Joanie Joanie Joanie...
Done in about three hours. I'm not 100% in love with the text but I had a vision and went with it. The text aspect was done on Canva.
Joan Holloway is queen and the best thing about Mad Men, and I don't think my obsession for this show will ever die. I might make this into a print for my Redbubble and Society6 accounts. Might.
Here is it without the text and without a background:

I drew this earlier and posted it on my instagram but just had to redo it on Sai. I love Superboy, but I sure do love his 90s design. And after looking at a ton of beautiful pieces of him I just had to draw him myself. I also wanted to try something different with my coloring and I like the results. I think it has more flow and dimension this way.
